You may be wondering where all of your hard earned money goes. Honestly many people have no idea where the money went and it was all spent before it got in the bank. Just this week, think of all of the items you bought that you did not "need", especially since you may have a certain bill due or coming due and possibly a credit card balance that never seems to go away. Changing the way you think about money is the way to manage your money. If you do not control every dollar you have, then every dollar will leave and you will never get ahead.
Saving for an expense is difficult for some people because it means you cannot have the item you want NOW. Saving is a planned event that should have a start date, a goal (dollar amount) to reach and an ending date. Meaning, if I need $1,000.00 in 3 months for something and I want to save for it and pay with cash, I NEED A PLAN. And, until you have saved the money in cash, you will not purchase it.
MAKE A PLAN AND STICK TO IT.
To save $1,000.00 in 3 months:
Sell something. Garage sale.
Stop a habit, coffee, cigarettes.
Cut back on budget items.
THERE IS NO PLAN B. NO EASY WAY OUT.
Get creative-on paper create a goal tracker. You can do it and once you get it started, you may never stop pushing yourself to pay everything off and get out of debt completely.
